Why it is smart to market your services on the Internet?
If you still think that the best way to market your services is through a TV announcement, maybe you’re one decade behind. It sounds a little harsh, but it is true. Latinos got more than 90% of their news from the TV but, that has changed a lot. It is estimated at around 75% and dropping further as everyone has a smartphone.
Now you must be thinking, how can I market my services now?
Your answer is right here and it’s called the internet. In the last decade, the internet has grown a lot as a source of news for Latinos, growing from less than 50% a decade ago to over 90% today.
If you’re a Latino maybe you should be asking yourself this question, “Should my advertisement be in English or Spanish?” Due to this bilingualism, studies needed to be done, and several were done to try to understand what is going on with Hispanics with regard to the language they speak and get their news from.
Since different studies show different aspects, what we do know is that typically 6 out of 10 Hispanics or Latinos are actually speaking both languages at home. The number of them that are bilingual are going down in numbers.
English is quickly becoming the language of choice. Unless the family teaches the children at home, it is just becoming an era where they are not being taught as much about the Spanish language as in the past.
Over 50% of Hispanics receive their news in Spanish and English. It seems that the majority are getting their news in English as they are in a predominately English speaking country. At this time there seems to be no advantage of one over the other when you are advertising to Hispanics.
You know you should use the internet for many reasons and advertising there is just so important. Here is some advice for you to market your services on the internet, and the best thing is, many of them are free!
1. – Write, write and write
It can be done by creating a blog, there, you can post and share useful content for people to see. It’s not easy since it won’t work in just one day. You have to make a name for yourself and that takes time.
With a blog, you aim to get on top of your industry, gain attention and get consumers which will lead you to a large amount of visibility and sales.
But, this doesn’t end in blogs, you should also write in forums. We’re not saying you should go to all forums and leave your link all over the place because you’ll get immediately banned. What you should do is to talk to other people, answer questions, and make suggestions. In short, you should add value to your content instead of just leaving your link.
2. – Give prizes
Yes, you read it right, give prizes! Maybe you should be asking yourself right now, if I give things for free, how will I earn money? It is usually said that sometimes when you lose, you win.
This is the case! Again, we’re not saying you should give everything for free, but sometimes, you can give prizes for those loyal customers who are always there, it could be a free consultation, a free service or whatever you offer, whatever is free people will love it!
This also has a second purpose, when someone wins a prize, you can get their contact information so you can contact them later. People will feel like they owe you when they receive a prize.
3. – Use social media
If you look at your smartphone or computer right now, can you count the number of social platforms in which you’re in? So, why don’t you take advantage of them?
Whether it is LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Flickr, Tumblr, you name it! Use hashtags, upload photos, and videos follow people within your niche and you’ll surely get a big mass of followers interested in your product.
Promote your services or products in social media and spread the voice, and when you realize, you’ll be increasing your number of sales and traffic.

Es cierto que hace una década, los latinos tiene más del 90% de sus noticias de la televisión, pero, que ha cambiado mucho, ya que hoy en día, ese número es menor de 80%. Su respuesta está aquí y se llama “internet”. En la última década, el Internet ha crecido mucho como fuente de noticias para los latinos, al pasar de menos del 50% de hace una década a más del 90% en la actualidad.
Si eres un latino tal vez se debería hacer esta pregunta, debe anunciar mi estar en Inglés o Español? Debido a esto el bilingüismo, un estudio que había que hacer, y refleja que más del 80% de los latinos suelen recibir noticias en Inglés y más del 70% en español, pero sólo alrededor del 50% en español y en Inglés. El único problema con esto, es que sólo el 29% de ellos reciben noticias sólo en Inglés.
Ahora que usted sabe que debe utilizar el Internet, aquí hay algunos consejos para que usted pueda comercializar sus servicios en Internet, y lo mejor es que muchos de ellos son gratuitos!
1. – Escribir, escribir y escribir
Se puede hacer mediante la creación de un blog, de ahí, puede publicar y compartir contenido útil que la gente vea. No es fácil, ya que no va a funcionar en un solo día, lo que tiene que hacer un nombre por sí mismo y que lleva tiempo.
Con un blog, tu objetivo es llegar a la cima de su industria, llamar la atención y obtener los consumidores, que le llevará a una gran cantidad de visibilidad y ventas.
Sin embargo, esto no termina en blogs, también se debe escribir en los foros. No estamos diciendo que hay que ir a todos los foros y dejar su enlace por todo el lugar porque obtendrá inmediatamente prohibido. Lo que debe hacer es hablar con otras personas, responder preguntas, hacer sugerencias, en definitiva, debe agregar valor a su contenido en lugar de simplemente dejar su enlace.
2. – Dar premios
Sí, has leído bien, dar premios! Tal vez se debería hacer en este momento, si me dan cosas gratis, ¿cómo voy a ganar dinero? Se suele decir que a veces, cuando se pierde, se gana, este es el caso! Una vez más, no estamos diciendo que usted debe dar todo de forma gratuita, pero a veces, le puede dar premios para aquellos clientes fieles que siempre están ahí, podría ser una consulta gratuita, un servicio gratuito o lo que usted ofrece, todo lo que es la gente libre voluntad ¡quiéralo!
Esto también tiene un segundo propósito, cuando alguien gana un premio, puede obtener su información de contacto para que pueda ponerse en contacto con ellos más tarde. La gente va a sentir que le deben al recibir un premio.
3. – Uso de medios sociales
Si nos fijamos en su teléfono inteligente o computadora en este momento, se puede contar el número de plataformas sociales en las que estás en? Así que, ¿por qué no tomar ventaja de ellos? Ya se trate de LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Printrest, Flickr, Tumblr, lo que sea! Utilizar hashtags, subir fotos y videos, seguir a la gente dentro de su nicho y que seguramente obtendrá una gran masa de seguidores interesados en su producto.
Promocionar sus servicios o productos en las redes sociales y se extendió la voz, y cuando se da cuenta, se le aumento de su número de ventas y el tráfico.
